Shay Mitchellis a Canadian actress, modeland an entrepreneur. Most famous for playing Emily Fields, she is the star of the Freeform TV show Pretty Little Liars. After achieving great results in modeling and dancing, she wanted to try her hand at acting and took acting lessons in Toronto. Mitchell landed some commercials and acting roles as a guest in TV shows. The break came in the form of played Emily Fields' role in Pretty Little Liars. Her performance was well-received for her talent by critics as well the people who loved her. After that, she would become a star on the big-screen with movies such as Dreamland Mother's Dayand The belonging of Hannah Grace. She starred in"You," a psychological thriller, and it earned the attention of a wider audience. In addition to acting, she's ventured into writing. Together with Michaela Blayne, she co-wrote the novel for adults titled Bliss. Shay Mitchell was born on April 10, 1987 and grew up on the streets of Ontario, Canada to parents Mark Mitchell and Precious Garcia. She is of Filipina heritage, and her father comes from Irish/Scottish heritage. The cousin of Mitchell's has the name of Lea Salonga who is a famous musical theater performer and actress. Mitchell was a student at Rockridge Secondary for her early days before moving into West Vancouver Secondary. As a teenager, she was already working as models for various companies across several nations. She travelled to Barcelona, Bangkok, Hong Kong and then returned to Toronto and began her studies in acting.
