Annette O'Toole was raised in Houston, Texas at her mother's dance studio. Annette O'Toole made her TV debut when she was just two, as a kid on the Don Mahoney Trooper Show. At the age of 13, having ten years of vocal and dancing classes ahead of her, she and her mother traveled for a trip to L.A. for a year to determine if she would have a career in show business. In less than two months, she was offered her first job as a dancer with Danny Kaye on The Danny Kaye Show. "I've employed my dancing and singing lessons to a great extent," she says. "The mental discipline gained from it is great for actors." O'Toole's role as a debutant on screen in My Three Sons was followed by parts in Gunsmoke as well as The Mod Squad. She also appeared on Hawaii Five-O, The Mod Squad, The Partridge Family. O'Toole has been a part of more than 40 shows on television. Despite her popularity for her work in TV and films the theater is her main interest. After her run of six years on Smallville was over, she made the decision to concentrate on theatre, which she has been doing over the last decade. She was in New York and her first audition landed her selected for The Sea Gull. The actress has been featured in several Off-Broadway plays, including Adam Rapp's Kindness as well as Tracy Letts' Man from Nebraska.
