Annie Lennox
Annie Lennox is a Scottish native singer. She was born on 25, December, 1954 in Aberdeen. Dorothy Farquharson & Thomas Allison Lennox is the name of her parents. Lennox was accepted into the Royal Academy of Music in London in the 1970s where she took flute lessons and harpsichord for three years. Lennox survived off the stipend of a student, and worked part-time in order to earn a living. Lennox, while studying in the Royal Academy of Music in London, was not happy in her performance when as compared to the performance of her peers. Then she began to consider different options. Lennox performed flute in a 1976 band called Dragons Playground. She quit the band before New Faces, the I.T.V. talent competition. Between 1977 and the year 1980 she was vocalist for The Tourists. A British pop group. They met Dave Stewart, with whom she would form the pop-duo Eurythmics. Lennox then went on to record her debut solo album Diva. This came out in 1992.
